Under-eye Filler

What it is

Light filler is used often to treat dark circles, bags and wrinkles under the eye.

It is produced only for the under-eye area. Because of what it contains, it reflects the light that reaches the area around the eye, brightening and refreshing the skin. That is where the name comes from.

What it contains

Under-eye light filler contains eight amino acids, hyaluronic acid, three antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, and a local anaesthetic to make the treatment more comfortable.

These ingredients are said to work at cell level, and to brighten and refresh the area around the eye.

How is under-eye light filler applied?

Before the treatment, an anaesthetic cream is put on the skin under the eye to reduce discomfort. The filler is then injected with a cannula, a thin tube with a blunt tip. It goes in through a single entry point and fills the area under and around the eye.

Light filler can also be given with fine needles. This way there can be more bruising and swelling.

How many sessions are needed?

One session is usually enough. If needed, a second session can be given at the follow-up visit.

How long does the effect last?

The effect lasts about one to one and a half years. It depends on how marked the changes around the eye are, on the person’s genetics and on the amount used.

Who should not have it?

The filler is made specifically for the tissue under the eye. It is not recommended when the bags under the eyes are at the point where surgery is the better answer, during pregnancy, or when there is inflammation or an allergy in the skin around the eye.

What happens afterwards?

Because it is done with a cannula, it does not keep you from your social life. Most people go back to their day straight after the session.
