Nasolabial Filler (Smile Line Filler)

Nasolabial filler is applied to the area that runs from the sides of the nose down to the corners of the mouth. Those lines are known as the smile lines, so the treatment is also called smile line aesthetics.
The aim is to remove the lines that become marked in this area. It is one of the medical aesthetic treatments asked for most today.
Who it suits
It is applied to people who dislike the marked lines in this part of the face.
With age, and with certain environmental factors, these lines deepen and the face takes on a look the person does not like. Filler restores the area where fat has been lost.
It can be applied to anyone who comes to the clinic with deepening and hollowing in the nasolabial area and who has no health condition that prevents it.
How it is done
This is one of the safest and least painful methods for removing marked, deepened lines and wrinkles. The material used is hyaluronic acid, which gives smoother and longer-lasting results.
Before the procedure the amount of filler is decided from the patient’s complaint and the state of the face. The area is then numbed, usually with anaesthetic cream and rarely with local anaesthesia, so that nothing is felt during the treatment. The filler is then placed in the intended area, usually with fine needles or with a small instrument called a cannula.
Is it harmful
The procedure is safe. Before it starts, the doctor checks that the patient has no condition that prevents it.
The treatment has no side effects. Because fine needles are used, redness, scratches and bruising can appear in the treated area. These are entirely normal and temporary, and they disappear a few days after the treatment.
How long it lasts
The effect starts to show straight after the procedure. Hyaluronic acid takes about 2 to 3 weeks to give its full effect, and the real result is seen after that.
The filler lasts between 9 and 20 months, depending on the person. Smoking and various environmental factors affect that time. Repeating the treatment at intervals keeps the result.
