Cheekbone Filler (Zygoma Filler)

The cheeks and the cheekbones make up an important part of the face.

With age and with time the cheeks lose a clear amount of volume. In some people the cheeks look hollow, which makes the person look tired. The cheekbones can also be defined as a contour.

The procedure

The product used most as a filler is hyaluronic acid.

After light anaesthesia with creams, the treatment takes a short time, about 15 to 30 minutes. The filler in the syringe is injected under the skin.

The effect lasts 12 to 16 months on average, depending on the quality of the filler used and on the person’s skin.

Combined treatments

Filler also restores volume to the deep nasolabial lines and to the lines at the corners of the mouth.

Facial fillers can be combined with other treatments to strengthen their effect: laser skin tightening, botulinum toxin and skin rejuvenation lasers.
